Happy Galentine’s Day to those Parks and Recreation fans out there! If you don’t know what I’m referring to, then
I guess I have just picked the source of your next Netflix binge. Seriously though, it’s a great show that I
will be sad to see come to an end this spring. :(
I
think that this beautiful masterpiece needs to be analyzed, since you may not
be able to understand it: you may not be able to see the beauty...yet. So to begin, I must
point out that I obviously had untapped potential when I drew this for my
family. I mean the artistic genius that
fueled the five year old me to draw my family wearing matching pink shirts is
just unable to be fathomed. The abstract
way I depicted the human body --stubby useless
arms and twisted ankles-- is just beyond anything we have ever seen from the
greats. I had to, of course, make myself
the focal point. As you can tell, the
hair on the short one supersedes the others.
The bald spot on the top of my head is much more attractive than on any
of the other members of my family. My feet
are not actually touching the ground, which kind of just highlights the beauty
of my form.
So I believe the drawing of my dad comes to a close second. The block of hair dominating his head is completely
realistic. Also, the fact that this piece
portrays him as pigeon-toed just adds to the magnitude of diversity I so
clearly presented in my work. And those
nails just speak for themselves.
So obviously drawing is not really my strong suit. Not really one of those sketching types. But hey, at least I colored in the lines. :)
